The steps MopHop takes to look after the people whose places we clean, and the Hoppers (our cleaners) who clean them.
Hoppers are MopHop's cleaners, and every one is on the MopHop crew. They apply with references, and a MopHop lead reads the application and approves them before their first clean. Every Hopper also passes a background check through a professional screening service, and we confirm their ID in person when they're hired.
A clean can't be booked until a MopHop lead has reviewed the details and photos sent in and set the price. For some jobs, like a move-out or a removal, the lead may visit first.
Your MopHop lead, who reviews your place, can see it. The Hoppers on your clean see it from the day before the clean until the day after. Other Hoppers only see the town.
Each clean has its own message thread inside the app, so nobody needs to hand out a phone number. The thread is kept with the clean.
A Hopper can't mark a clean done without a photo of each required room. You see the photos right away. They're deleted after 90 days.
Hosts and Hoppers review each other after a clean. If a Hopper's reviews fall below MopHop's bar, their new cleans pause until a MopHop lead looks into it.
Either side can file a report from the clean, with photos, within 48 hours. It goes to MopHop, not to the other person, and a MopHop lead reads every one. We don't have a 24-hour phone line yet.
